Defer Date

A Defer Date means that a task is unavailable before that date. Reaching the date only removes this restriction; it does not automatically make the task a Next Action or complete it.

Deferring affects availability. It does not directly change Inbox membership and is not the same as planning or setting a reminder. A subtask cannot be deferred earlier than its parent.
