• Tasks can now be grouped by list, organizing them into Next Action, Waiting For, Someday / Maybe, and No List. Empty groups are hidden automatically.
• Quick Add has been rebuilt: use @ to add tags, # to assign a project, and enter dates in natural language (for example, "tomorrow at 3pm", "next Wednesday", "August 15"). Recognition is supported in English, Chinese, and Spanish.
• Task and project lists can be expanded or collapsed in full from a single menu at the top of the list, and folder collapse states are preserved.
• The Inbox can now keep processed items in place, making it easier to work through entries in sequence. This can be enabled or disabled in Settings.

Focus on one day at a time

• Switch between the full timeline and a focused day, then use the bottom date bar to move between days quickly

• Home can now show multiple task lists, each organized in its own section

Filters for Calendar and Schedule

• Narrow both views down to the projects, tags, and action lists you care about — including "No project" and "No tag"
• Choose which dates put a task on the calendar: due date, scheduled date, deferred date, or any combination
• Your filter is remembered between sessions and shared by the Calendar and Schedule views

Sorting and grouping in more places

• First Available, Schedule, and the Calendar's daily agenda now offer the same sorting and grouping options as Perspectives

Estimated duration on task rows

• If a task has an estimated duration, it now appears right in the list next to the date badges — no need to open the task to see how long you expected it to take

Quick add in action lists

• Next Actions, Waiting For, and Someday/Maybe now use the same add button as the rest of the app: tap to type a task straight into the list, or swipe up to open the full editor

Project status at a glance

• Paused, completed, and dropped projects are now clearly distinguished in the project list and on the project page
• Opening a paused or dropped project now explains why none of its tasks can be worked on

🎯 Experience Improvements

• Filter and sort buttons now sit together at the bottom right, next to the add button, on the Tags, Perspective, Action List, and Calendar pages
• On the Calendar page, "Back to Today" moved to the bottom left, within easy thumb reach
• On the Schedule page, the add and filter buttons swapped places to match the rest of the app, and switching days is now a smooth animation instead of a full-list flash
• The widget configuration screen is now fully translated

⚡️ Performance

• Large libraries feel dramatically faster: opening and filtering Projects, Tags, Inbox, and Action Lists no longer slows down as your task count grows, and deeply nested subtasks are no longer a bottleneck
• Perspectives that use the "Nearby" condition now show your tasks immediately and refine the location match in the background, instead of waiting for a GPS fix
• Smoother home page, task lists, and reminder updates — counts are calculated only when you actually look at them, and rescheduling reminders no longer freezes the interface
• Widgets are more reliable on large libraries and no longer fail to load

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Perspectives using the "Select project" or "Select tag group" condition returned no tasks at all — fixed
• Rescheduling an event no longer leaves it showing on both the old and the new day
• In a sequential list, pausing the first task no longer hides the next task that should have become available
• Monthly and yearly repeats anchored to a specific day (such as the 31st) now skip months that don't have that day, instead of landing on the wrong date
• Tasks created with Siri are now added to the end of the Inbox instead of jumping to the top and disturbing your manual order
• Tasks created with Siri, and tasks imported from Apple Reminders, now get their reminders scheduled right away
• A failed Reminders import no longer leaves duplicate tasks behind when you try again
• The app icon badge no longer drifts out of sync while you work

Project Due Dates (Beta)

You can now set due dates for projects. Overdue projects will appear in the Schedule and Calendar views. This feature is still in beta and will be refined over time.

Calendar View Redesign

The calendar view has been redesigned, and you can now swipe left/right to switch months.

Task List Refactor (Beta)

We completely rewrote the task list code to significantly improve list performance. Since lists appear in many places, this update only covers the Inbox, Schedule, Calendar, and Project Details views. Other lists will be updated in future releases, so the experience may differ between views for now. Thanks for your understanding.

Major Update: Scheduled Date

• Add a "Scheduled Date" to tasks to display them on specific dates in the Schedule and Calendar views. "Scheduled Date" can replace "Due Date" for scheduling tasks on specific dates without the pressure of overdue warnings if you can't complete them on time. This ensures "Due Date" is only used to record the actual final deadline for tasks.
• When tasks are not completed by their "Scheduled Date", they will automatically roll over to the "Today" list in the Schedule view. Simply long press to access the menu and quickly reschedule.
• After adding a "Scheduled Date", you can further add a "Scheduled End Date". Tasks with both dates will be displayed on every day between the two dates in the Schedule/Calendar views until you complete the task or reschedule it.

Major Update: Subtask List in Task Details

• You can now view the complete subtask list directly in task details and add new subtasks directly.

Other Updates

• Support sharing text, links, and images from other apps directly to Locus to create tasks in the inbox.
• In Preferences, you can choose which tasks are counted in the app icon badge.

• Added project duplication feature. Long press a project and select "Duplicate Project" from the menu to automatically create a new project containing all tasks from the original project.

New Feature: Global Search

Search all tasks, projects, and tags directly from the homepage to quickly find what you need. For iOS 26.0 and above, following Apple's latest design guidelines, the search button is now located at the bottom, and the previous Process/Review buttons have been moved to the top left of the homepage.

The search feature is still in its early stages and meets basic search needs. We will continue to optimize it in the future.

1. Long press the quick add button on the homepage to open the full add task view, where you can directly set task title, project, tags, and more
2. Fixed an issue where filter results were incorrect under certain filter conditions

Major Update: Enhanced Reminders

• iOS 26.0 and above now supports the new alarm reminder feature. When setting a task's due date, tap the "bell" button before the time to enable alarm reminders. At the specified time, the system alarm will be triggered for a strong reminder, and users can choose to open the app, dismiss the alarm, or snooze for 15 minutes. During the snooze period, task information will be displayed in the Dynamic Island or on the lock screen.
• Added support for "Time Sensitive Notifications" level reminders, allowing you to receive task due date and custom reminder notifications even during Focus or Do Not Disturb modes.

• Integrated with Apple Calendar. Enable it in [Settings - Preference - Apple Calendar Integration] and select calendars to sync. Events from selected calendars will be displayed in Schedule and Calendar views (currently supports up to 90 days of calendar events)
• You can view calendar event details directly in Locus and even edit them without leaving the app

Major Update: Redesigned Schedule Logic

• Based on user feedback, we've adjusted the Schedule display logic. The Schedule now shows Past, Today, Soon (next 3 days), and Future tasks, instead of Flagged tasks
• Users can set the time range for the "Future" tab in [Settings - Preference - Future Tasks Range]. For example, selecting "14 days" will show tasks and calendar events due within 14 days (excluding today and the next 3 days)
• Flagged tasks are now displayed on the homepage by default, alongside starred projects and filters

Default Due Time

Previously, the default due time for tasks was 21:00. Now you can customize the default due time in Settings.

Inbox Logic Optimization

Previously, when you set a due date for a subtask of an inbox task, it would be removed from the inbox, which could be confusing. Now such subtasks will remain in the inbox until their parent task is removed from the inbox.

Review Mode Optimization

• Simplified the interaction logic of Review Mode. We found that reviewing projects is a more careful and meticulous operation than processing inbox items, and users rarely need to "go back to the previous item". Instead, they tend to review in order, so we only keep "Review" and "Skip" buttons at the bottom of the screen. You can always view skipped items in your next review session.
• The reminder icon at the bottom of the homepage is now more prominent when there are items to review.
