Flagged Task

A task marked with a flag (⚑) to indicate high priority or importance.

Definition

Flagging is a way to mark a Task as high priority or requiring immediate attention. Flagged tasks get special visibility in Locus GTD.

Why Flag Tasks?

Use flags for:

  • Today's priorities: Most important tasks for today
  • Urgent items: Time-sensitive tasks
  • Quick access: Tasks you reference frequently
  • Focus: Limit to 3-7 flagged tasks at a time

Best Practices

Limit Flags

Don't flag everything. Keep it to 3-7 tasks maximum.

Why? If everything is priority, nothing is priority.

Daily Review

Each morning:

  1. Review flagged tasks
  2. Unflag completed items
  3. Flag today's priorities

Temporary Marking

Flags are temporary. Use for current priorities, not permanent importance.

Combine with Due Dates

Flag + Due Date = Clear priorities with deadlines
